I met Frank Bumphus of Triangle Fence Company nearly 5 years ago in Raleigh, North Carolina. At the time, he was a really good friend. I don't know if it was the ecconomy that pushed him over the edge, but he started getting desperate. I was watching television one night when I saw a news clip preview of Diane Wilson interviewing Triangle Fence Company's Frank Bumphus. I could not believe my eyes. What the hell did Frank do? At one point it looked like Traingle Fence Company's owner, Frank Bumphus, was going to attack the camera man! As I watched in shock, I heard how he kept a homeowner's (Chad Culver) nearly $8,500 deposit on a wrought iron fence gate, nearly a year ago. Triangle Fence Company agreed to talk to Diane Wilson off camera, after what they say was an nearly an hour (probably of excuses), he did not give Diane Wilson a single dollar to return to the homeowner. Triangle Fence Company said they would provide the homeowner with a refund sometime in February. Triangle Fence Company has not refunded any money to date of this publication.

The problem is that with news stories, unless there is a positive reason to follow up the story, the story fades into the past. We wanted to let everyone know what the shithead's company did to one family. Usually if there is one victim in a story like this, there may other victims who have never come forward. We do not know if this was an isolated incident, we hope it was, but as ESPN would say, "C'MON MAN". Frank, refund the money, do the right thing and pay back these homeowners who worked hard for that money to hire you to build their fence gate.

3/18/2010 Frank Bumphus RETURNS $6,200 of the money after more than a FULL YEAR of keeping it. It's amazing what bad publicity can do sometimes. However, would you still seriously consider hiring him?

5/10/2010 Triangle Fence Company's websites are "suspended", it is unclear if they just forgot to pay their hosting bill, and had to "BORROW SOME MONEY" but they are back up and running.
